Connecticut Health Care Coalition Pediatric Surge Tabletop Exercise
Connecticut Health Care Coalition (CT HCC) will hold a pediatric tabletop exercise to validate the Connecticut Health Care Coalition Pediatric Surge Annex, on December 15th, from 12:00PM – 2:30 PM
Dr. Mark Cicero, from Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and Connecticut Emergency Medical Services for Children will facilitate the TTX, which will be conducted virtually, using GoToWebinar. The broad objectives for exercise are to validate the (1) CT HCC’s role during a pediatric incident, and (2) roles of agencies and organizations likely to response to a pediatric surge incident.
This event is open to all CT HCC partners and stakeholders in the five CT DEMHS ESF8 regions to attend as observers. Observers will be asked not to interact with players during the tabletop exercise, and to provide feedback using the chat function of GoToWebinar during the exercise, or via email, following the completion of the exercise.
Players invited to participate in the CT HCC Pediatric Surge Tabletop Exercise include representatives from CT EMS-C, CT OEMS, CT DPH, CT DMHAS/DCF, and the CT Health Care Coalition. Representatives from Connecticut’s two pediatric specialty centers, and Connecticut’s community acute care hospitals are also invited to participate.
