The Connecticut Department of Public Health is hosting a Radiological Seminar to orient participants to the state's Radiological Emergency Preparedness program. The seminar will take place on July 15th from 8:45 AM to 3 PM at the CHA in Wallingford. 1. The purpose of the seminar is to orient participants to how the state responds to radiological emergencies. Presentations will include: - an overview of the Radiological Emergency Preparedness program - the roles and responsibilities of various agencies and the authorities that guide radiological preparedness and response - different types of radiological events - the medical consequences and considerations of radiological events - the role of Community Reception Centers 2. The exercise will also allow for discipline-focused discussion. 3. The target audience for this event is state and local public health, emergency management and environmental protection, and healthcare partners.

Please note that space is limited so we are asking that no more than two participants from an organization register. If space allows, we will open registration up to additional participants.
