MGB Center for Disaster Medicine Project ECHO Hub for Healthcare Emergency Preparedness – COMING SOON!
In collaboration with Project ECHO and supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the MGB Center for Disaster Medicine will host a virtual, regularly occurring series focused on Healthcare Emergency Preparedness. Utilizing the ECHO principle of All Teach, All Learn each session will include a brief didactic presentation, a case presentation by a participant or two, and group discussion. Over the course of the year and roughly 18 sessions, we hope to bring together a core cadre of participants and create a network of practice across New England.
Our goal:
Create a community of practice for healthcare emergency managers with shared learning and teaching. We’re currently reaching out to our partners across New England to gather initial interest in joining this community. We welcome you or members of your team who are looking for professional networking and growth opportunities to join!
We will continue to host our monthly webinar series that is sponsored by the Region 1 Regional Disaster Health Response System (RDHRS) and Regional Emerging Special Pathogens Treatment Center (RESPTC) programs.
About Project ECHO:
The ECHO Institute has received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support a series of regional case-based virtual communities of practice (vCoP) grounded in the Project ECHO learning and capacity-building model. This initiative will create trusted learning and problem-solving networks across states and regions, bringing together healthcare organizations, public health officials, emergency managers, and community-based organizations to co-design equitable, coordinated, and resilient emergency preparedness and response systems.
